With its intricate design and combination of materials, it serves as both a decorative statement and a practical display piece. Hanna Dís Whitehead focuses on a hands-on approach, working in a very personal way, interweaving story, shape, materials and color. She works on the borders of art, design and craft making her objects in her rural South East Iceland studio in Hornafjordur. There she mixes together in interesting ways diverse materials for example wood, local wool & straw as well as ceramics.
